Year 8

In Year 8 all pupils learn about two major topics and complete their Common Entrance coursework.

The work involves looking at:-

1) Geomorphology – where we concentrate on weathering and coastal and river erosional and depositional landforms

2) Geography coursework – this is worth 20% of their final Common Entrance grade and this year concentrates on weathering in the school grounds

3) Settlement – here we learn about the shape of settlements, the reason for their actual site and we also look at reasons for how and why they change over time.
