Year 6
In Year 6 all pupils learn about three major topics.
These are:-
Global location – here we learn about the main physical features on the surface of the Earth and we also look at a large proportion of the world’s countries and capital cities.
Weather and climate – How Britain’s climate varies from season to season and how to measure and record the weather.
Ordnance Survey map reading – All pupils will be able to accurately read maps including measuring height, distance, direction, relief and being able to accurately draw cross – sections and locate any point on a map by using six figure grid references.
