Religious Studies

Y6 visit Ashby St. LedgersReligious Studies provides within the curriculum a reminder that education concerns the whole person, and that there is something more.  It reflects on the ‘why’ questions in life.

At the heart of RS teaching is a desire to allow pupils to experience and reflect on a range of religions and religious practices. Visitors come into school from local Christian communities and we also have study visits to other religious establishments.

Pupils learn to understand and respect our common humanity, diversity and differences so that they can go on to form the effective, fulfilling relationships that are an essential part of life and learning.

We regularly hold services at the local church in Spratton, St Andrew's, to celebrate various dates in the Christian calendar.
