Physics Fun
Monday Lunchtime saw the beginning of Science Week with the Physics actvity in the hall. We were investigating flight, by building 15 different paper airplane designs and then launching them to see which ones flew best. The hall was set out with 15 design tables, where the different templates and folding instructions guided the students through how to make their chosen design of plane. The templates ranged from Beginner through to Advanced with some Novelty designs thrown in for some fun!! (The templates are available to download from www.paperairplanes.com).

The students were then given some Flying Tips on how to best create and launch their design to maximise its flight potential. Then we launched them off the stage and looked at how they flew as well as how far they went. It all culminated in a dog fight launch where the Girls planes were launched against the boys designs.
