Music

Music plays an important part in the life of the school. All pupils are taught music in the classroom, where singing, theory, composition and listening are all vital ingredients.

Pupils are encouraged to take individual music lessons employing a variety of instruments. The school has an orchestra, several choirs, two windbands, a jazz band and a range of smaller ensembles which reflect the interests and ability of the pupils.

Concerts are held regularly and our musicians have extensive opportunities to participate in the various productions staged by the school. On numerous occasions throughout the year pupils perform at outside venues.
