 v Wellingborough 35 - 20

After a term of football, this match was always going to be interesting to test their skill level and game awareness. A rapid start saw us score 3 excellent backline tries moving it down the line for Miles to score a hatrick. However, Welligborough came through fighting to make it 15-15 at half-time. The second half saw Spratton play with more urgency and determination to win the ball. And a much better general contribution from each player saw us run in a further 4 tries. We can now look forward to practicing for our 7's next weekend. Well done boys!

An excellent display of running and committed rugby.

Spratton U9 Tournament Winners.

The boys played each game with more continuity and progression. Their determination and will power to move forward was tremendous. Considering that they only had 3 sessions of 7's practice, the boys managed to keep the ball alive with some excellent off loading and spreading of the ball and they all played together as a team. The most notable achievement was their intense pressure they put on the other teams competing with rock solid defence. Well done Boys!
