Year 2 - Choir and Ocarina Club
The Year 2 choir, under Mrs Miller’s excellent guidance and assisted by Mrs Haynes has got off to an amazing start! Thirty- three enthusiastic singers turn up in the Music block each Thursday after school between 3:45pm and 4:15pm to sing with gusto. They have already learned a large repertoire of songs and are looking forward to entertaining their parents on Thursday 20th October when they and their friends in Year 2 will be performing ‘Footsteps on the Moon’.
The ocarina club meets at 1:20pm Monday lunchtime under the guidance of Mrs Haynes. Twenty enthusiastic children collect in the middle area and enjoy playing together. This term they have been working hard at their listening and counting skills in order to play together like an orchestra. After half term they are hoping to begin playing songs and carols with two part harmony!
