Uppingham Orchestral Day (11.3.10)

Categories: News

On Thursday 11th March we went to Uppingham to play in an orchestra with 279 pupils from 17 other prep schools. We went off into different groups in sections like brass, woodwind and percussion. In the evening we performed a concert along with the Uppingham Jazz Band. We performed the premier performance of ‘Steam’, a composition that was written for the day. The composer even performed with us on the whistle! It was a fantastic experience playing with such a large orchestra. We all really enjoyed our day, especially the visit to the tuck shop!
