The Hall

Spratton Hall, the largest house in the village, is a plain three storey 18th century structure. The roof is slate and the main structure is made from limestone (from Kingsthorpe). The house was probably built in 1760 on the site of an earlier farmhouse. The house has a Grade II listing, however, a number of extensions and additions were carried out in the 19th and 20th centuries.

In 1951, Kenneth and Joan Hunter bought the house and turned it into a successful school. The actor Tenniel Eveans taught English and drama here for a short time in the early 1950s before returning to theatre. Matt Dawson, the Saints and England Rugby player, was a Gap Student here from 1996 to 1997.

The main hall now houses a number of classrooms, the school dining room, the Headteacher's study, administration and the recently refurbished Drawing Room.
