ICT

The ICT department is situated in the Bickley Building and comprises of two computer rooms with 38 networked computers, together with a campus-wide network, totalling over a hundred machines. The main computer room (20 machines) is used for ICT teaching and the second room(18 machines) is a bookable resource, which is used widely for all subjects. Nearly all teaching rooms throughout the school have at least one networked computer, capable of accessing e-mail and internet. The Science department has its own small network of eight computers, linked to the main network. All pupils have their own e-mail address and can access the internet from all stations across the campus.

The computing suites have recently been upgraded, along with many rooms across the campus and broadband internet access is standard throughout. A new fibre optic network has been installed and this has greatly enhanced the computing facility.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.
